The planned operation
A conventional vat-leaching plan
The plan centres on reprocessing historically mined and heap-leached material using conventional vat leaching. Material preparation, plant configuration and supporting technical work form part of progressing that plan.
Historical operating records and recent laboratory assay information inform material selection and processing preparation. Assay information describes gold content; it does not, on its own, establish recoverable gold or the performance of the planned operation.
Approvals and operational preparation
VAA is coordinating approvals and practical preparation for the project. Current work brings together materials handling, water management, plant configuration, site infrastructure and environmental planning.
Our own earthmoving equipment and practical gold-processing and site expertise support this work.
Commencement remains subject to the required approvals and conditions, completion of supporting technical work and operational readiness. The plan remains subject to technical findings and commercial assessment.

Equipment preparation is underway
The loader and grader have been delivered and serviced. Further plant preparation, including repairs and final screening arrangements, remains in progress.
Separate research and development
Alternative beneficiation research
VAA is also evaluating alternative beneficiation approaches to preparing and concentrating gold-bearing material. This research is separate from the planned conventional vat-leaching operation at Leary's Lament. Any application depends on technical validation, commercial assessment and applicable approvals.
